Business Stationery Printing

Today most general printing is produced by lithography. An image is photographed and transferred onto a plate which is then run through an ink and water balance. The ink only adheres to the imaged area of the plate which is then transferred to a rubber blanket from which the paper is printed (often called offset printing).

Piccolo has three litho presses and can accept work up to A3 size. We can handle orders from 100,000 leaflets to 100 business cards.

Good lithographic printing largely relies on the standard of the initial image or artwork that has to be transferred to the plate. We can typeset your copy and provide origination of the very highest quality. Artwork is a complex area. We always recommend the best way to approach your particular job, and this will often save you money. We have a design service (but do NOT charge graphic designers' fees!), can read your disks or even output from your PC or Mac over the Internet (this can save you a lot of money).
