Letterpress Wedding Stationery Piccolo Press Ltd. is one of the very few British companies to have retained the old letterpress method of printing from lead type, hand composed by a true craftsman and printed with great skill. By 'debossing' the image into a soft card, a stunning clear tactile effect is produced. We use the best materials, mostly "Somerset" 100% cotton or Mediovalis. We are seriously competitive, in general being around 40% less than USA comparative prices. Our turnaround times are often well inside those quoted by your local USA printer. Engraved Wedding Stationery There is no substitute for engraving's combination of fine resolution, definition and richness of image. (One of our engravers engraves for the Bank of England!) We use the best boards available and these tend to be thicker and heavier than those in the USA. This, combined with our engraving, gives a very luxurious and top quality product. A real piece of craftmanship! We believe that we produce the highest quality engraved wedding stationery within the UK and through this have gained extensive experience in supplying clients throughout the USA. Additional Processes & Products Lined envelopes: We can line any size of envelope with either tissue or paper. A number of different colours are available. Click to view samples. Folders: We can supply special invitation folders, tied with a ribbon. Click to view samples. Ribboning: We have a large selection of plain and tartan ribbon that we can add to your invitations and Order of Service sheets. Gilding: Invitations can be hand bevelled, round cornered and gilded in either gold or silver and some colours (see special page on this process).
